Taboo Talks is a 6 part women's speaker series that tackles the taboo topics surrounding cannabis use in modern society. From the beginning, the talks were deep. A sign language interpreter was provided and video for those who chose to view live stream. The seriousness is no surprise when the topic for session 3 covers cannabis & sobriety. Sobriety is already a tough topic. When you add using a natural substance like THC and CBD to reduce dependency and relapse you have one heck of a discussion. Thru cultivars, one of the panelists Sharon Letts stresses how CBD & THC are so much better than taking methadone or synthetic pills.
Gina Jay (Darlese/Visible Minds Media)
Moderator of the Talks is Activist Gina Jay. She is just fabulous! Not only knowledgeable but very entertaining. The panelist spoke on tough times they've had medicating with CANNABIS from family, doctors, and social service officials. Many are shunned for finding better alternatives that are legal.
1st Lady of the West coast (Darlese/Visible Minds Media)
Complimentary pre-rolls from 1st Lady of the West Coast were filled with her BLACK-GIRL-MAGIC OG (our favorite) and were passed around to set the mood and open our third eye.

It was sunny and hot in the Palm Desert. Despite the heat, there was great energy in the room. Taboo Talks provides us ample time to network and discuss topics affecting the cannabis community before the panelist took their places.
P.C. Zavala ( @Rtispc ) displayed dope artwork. Her vibe was on point and the art pieces were super creative.
A sisterhood of women coming together is just what the industry needs as we grow and mold our history. What these women provide is more than a great Sunday afternoon of fun and medication. Information and knowledge are key. We would love to see Taboo Talks on tour in every city around the globe. That idea just may come to fruition as the next Taboo Talks: Series 4 will be in Las Vegas, Nevada during Memorial Weekend.
